Sub Pop was infelicitous with Earth's lackadaisical transcription tendencies, and the label pulled the plug on 1993 sessions for the third album. Recording resumed the following year with producer Ian Dickson (world Health Organization would suit a permanent member simply ane year afterwards), engineer Scott Benson, and drummer Rick Cambern. Phase 3 was lastly released in April 1995. A springy record album taken from a Blast First pronounce concert was released the same twelvemonth as Sunn Amps and Smashed Guitars.
